LSRI have a fully funded PhD position available to a student who meets the ESRC eligibility requirements and wishes to research how people learn to interpret fMRI. Its an interdisciplinary project applying theories from psychology, anthropology and education to understand how people read these apparently simply (but anything but) visualisations
